Depending on their shape and size, these items might be used either as the bottom or middle layers of other boxes.  However, more than likely you will place mid to larger size items separately in their own box.

Always stand on the items base when possible and use deep  boxes with some padding below and above the item. Hollow items such as gravy boats, unusual vases should be stuffed with newsprint or linens if possible. If the item is glass you may use masking tape to prevent shattering of the glass.  Bath towels are excellent to wrap and fill spaces in larger boxes.
